Learning Outcomes and Application This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to prepare and carry out surveillance on gas distribution assets, and complete work and relevant documentation in accordance with relevant legislation, industry standards, codes of practice and workplace procedures.It includes identifying system non-conformances by monitoring the area/third-party area for security conditions and inspecting the system's pipe work, structures, fittings and equipment in accordance with organisational and statutory requirements. Aerial surveillance is not covered by this unit. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
Duration and Setting X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting.

  • Work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS) workplace procedures and environmental, cultural and heritage measures for the site are identified, obtained and applied
       
Element: Job requirements and workplace procedures for the surveillance work are discussed with relevant person/s to confirm the work schedule
